You have had bitter experiences of falling in and out of love. What is it that you have learnt?

I have learnt several lessons after I failed in love - not just one or two. My failure in love has helped me grow as a prudent person. Now, I can’t trust people anymore, especially just on their face values. I have had both sweet and sour memories but the best part is that love has made me a mature person. I think from my head and not from heart because I know thinking from heart gives emotional blows.

Madhuri Dixit to stage comeback with Yashraj film

Bollywood’s former number one actress Madhuri Dixit will stage a comeback with a Yashraj film after a gap of nearly five years.

A spokesperson for Yashraj Prouductions confirmed the report and said the actress, who had settled down in the Denver, United States after she got married to Dr Sriram Nene in 1999, will make her comeback in a film to be produced by Yashraj Production.

 

The film will be directed by cinematographer Anil Mehta, who has directed photography of movies like Lagaan, Veer Zara and recently released

Proud of her Indian roots, Miss Australia Sabrina Houssami says she is not averse to acting in Bollywood films and has already received a few offers. The 20-year-old beauty, the second runner-up at the Miss World 2006 contest here, said she has not made up her mind on what to accept. She said she plans to concentrate on TV journalism for the time being. Sabrina’s mother is Indian and father, a Lebanese.

“I am very proud of my Indian roots. India is always very close to my heart. I have been to India 12 times so far and every time I go to India I feel as if I have come on a pilgrimage,” Sabrina Houssami said, as reported by wire services.

“I am also thinking of doing some work for bettering the environment and would like to support the Ganges Cleaning scheme. A clean environment is a must for a serene place like Rishikesh,” she said.

New Miss World has no boyfriend and adores Paris

 

WARSAW: The new Miss World, blonde Czech 18-year-old Tatana Kucharova, currently has no boyfriend and adores Paris, she said on Sunday.

“I don’t have a boyfriend and I haven’t yet the ideal man in my life. In any case I don’t think such a man exists,” Kucharova told journalists in Warsaw the day after her victory in the famous global beauty contest.

Kucharova, who has grey-green eyes and measures 5 feet 10 inches is currently studying English and Spanish in Prague. She is also passionate about history and travelling.

“She loves Paris, especially the sites concerned with Louis XIV. She spent two weeks in that city this summer visiting museums and art galleries,” her father Lubos Kuchar said.

Czech Republic’s Tatana is Miss World

An international judging panel and global public vote picks six continental Miss Worlds. Czech Republic came through to win the coveted crown as Miss World 2006, in a glittering and star-studded ceremony at the Sala Kongresowa, Warsaw, tonight. Czech Republic was crowned Miss World out of 104 beautiful and talented contestants, with  Romania named first runner-up, followed by Australia as second runner-up.

In a last minute twist, the judges were unable to decide between contestants in the Asia Pacific continental group, so three girls from that group went through to the final 17 semi finalists, not the proposed 16.

Tonight, Ghana was also announced as the winner of the Beauty With A Purpose Award.

An impressive cast of international stars and music artists ensured that the 56th Miss World Final was a dazzling event of global proportions.
