Muslims may join Holocaust Day

Finally Some one talking Sense?….

SENIOR members of the Muslim Council of Britain are planning to end its boycott of Holocaust Memorial Day, The Times has learnt.

Members of the council will meet next month to vote on whether to rescind the boycott.

Increasing numbers of moderates on the council believe a boycott is no longer tenable. One senior insider said there was an increasing likelihood of the boycott coming to an end because it risked doing more harm than good to Britain’s 1.6 million Muslims.

The proposal has the full backing of Dr Muhammad Abdul Bari, the council’s new secretary-general, who said a small committee of the council was working on a proposal to put before the 70-member central working committee in December.

“I want Holocaust Memorial Day to be inclusive,” he said. “If the words ‘Never again’ are to have any meaning, it has to be inclusive.”

From golf to yoga: how India treats its troops

If you are looking for better and disciplined life and of course good future join Indian Army. Indian Army is short of about 11000 officers as many young generations today are choosing to join private sector in order to get more wages and lavishing life. Of course private sector does gives you bit more money but Army career also gives you loads of benefits and on top of that will make you a disciplined and honorable person.

India’s large section of society still thinks that career in military is all about War and War. So you want an Army career huh? Good for you soldier! Huh? You don’t want to be a soldier? Um well…..that’s OK too!

Perhaps the common (mis)conception or misunderstanding of a military career is that you have to be a solider. That isn’t the case. Indian Army provides numerous roles from very diverse field to support its front line troops. Indian Army is diverse organization and recognizes the need for numerous different roles. Admin, doctors, engineers, mechanics, teachers, human resources, officers, IT professional, and much other discipline are put to use within the military.

Indian Army has very good benefits packages and healthcare, and although the obvious hazards of the job are there, the life of a military career isn’t as extreme as one might imagine.

Certainly a career in the army isn’t for everyone – but there is a much wider scope of careers available than many people realize. Definitely worth a look the following website even if you not very much interested in career with Indian Army.

FORGET the call centre in Bangalore or the software laboratory in Hyderabad. If you’re looking for the good life, join the Indian Army today!

Such is the message of a slick new television advertisement launched by the army to try to revamp its image and reverse a brain drain to the burgeoning private sector.

It shows officers living in idyllic country cottages, trying their hands at golf, sailing and fencing, and unwinding at extravagant garden parties.

Head of US evangelicals quits over gay sex claims

The Rev Ted Haggard one of biggest supporter of George Bush and very strong opponent of same sex marriage has resigned after he was accused of paying for sex with a man. He said he is resigning voluntarily so that investigations against him about accusations of paying for sex with man can go smoothly and with integrity. Good Decision. Let see what will be the outcomes. But one thing is for sure if this proves right  than its a matter of great concern for US and for society as whole.

The leader of America’s powerful National Association of Evangelicals, a vocal supporter of George Bush and opponent of same-sex marriage, has resigned after being accused of paying for sex with a man.

The Rev Ted Haggard, a married father of five who is seen as one of the most influential conservative Christians in the nation, vigorously denied the allegations but said he could not “continue to minister under the cloud created by the accusations.”

He also temporarily stepped aside from his position as head of the New Life Church in Colarado Springs – which has 14,000 members – while a church panel investigates the claims.

“I am voluntarily stepping aside from leadership so that the overseer process can be allowed to proceed with integrity. I hope to be able to discuss this matter in more detail at a later date”, he said in a written statement.

Mr Haggard, who was appointed president of the 30 million-member association in March 2003, insisted the claims were untrue, saying: “I have never had a gay relationship with anybody, and I’m steady with my wife, I’m faithful to my wife.”
