Regional language versus Law! India Gone Nuts

Now Dy. Chief Minister of Maharashtra is going to ask Government of India to amend the Indian Motor Vehicle Act so that Locals of Maharashtra states should be allowed to displays their Vehicles Registration Number Plate in local Regional Language. What a Stupidity. Indian Motor vehicle act clearly specifies that all registration plate of vehicles should be written in English and numerals in Arabic. It not because we are trying to undermine regional language it’s just because its helps people to easily identify vehicles in case of an accident or the latter being used for unlawful activities ( crimes).

If a number plate of Maharashtra Vehicles written in Marathi then what will happen if these vehicle travel to other states say for example Goa, how the hell police or locals will be able to read or recognized the number plates of vehicles if vehicles is involved in any accident or be used for crime activity.

I would request these entire politicians please not to drag all regional issues just for the sake of Vote Bank. Please do some productive work for your own local people don’t make them fool by creating hue and cry for Non Sense issues.

  1. our politicians know how to focus on unimportant things

  2. It is sad to see that Politicians are creating differences between the Indians. Sometimes it is by caste, language, religion etc etc..

  3. but marathi uses same devnagari script that hindi does and according to congress hindi is our national language so devnagari script should be alllowed in all over india..

    • My dear friend, i agree to the point that marathi should be used in the name plate thats your right to ask in maharashtra, but please dont beleive and spread the stupidity that hindi is the national language of india since india do not state any language as a national language we in south do not belive.

      Thanks

      • Dear Sundar,
Namasthay, which world are you in. We already lost our roots of Sanskrit the mother of all languages in India. Now we are going to loose Hindi. I have lived in the Middle East for 14yrs. there all the number plates and road signs are in English & Hindi. Well I will not advocate for Marathi or Tamil of Bengali Numbers but for sure all the number plates MUST be in Hindi & English Only. Look at all the Central Govt. forms, it is in Hindi & English. Come out of your ‘Well’ (Frog) see how beautiful India is. The army personnel do not take a command in English or Tamil or Malayalam. They take a command in Hindi. So Mr.Sundar, please enlite yourself. Jai Hind, Jai Maharastra, Jai your State :-). First & Foremost – My Mother, My Nation and its people.

  4. @Hrishikesh,
    Bingo!

    @ People…
It is is surely question of pride for one’s national language, not just Marathi (regional). It so happens that Devnagari is the script of our national language–if an officer of the law in any part of our country can not read our national language, it is indeed a matter of shame!
This will not divide, but unify us. Let us not be childish, its so long since independence; our generation should surely come out of the inferiority complex about our own language!
    Jai Hind!

    • Dear Hrishikesh,
Like your name, pure Sanskrit. I fully agree with your statement. We must uphold our National language above all other languages. There are so many South Indians who come to work in the Middle east, well qualified, but since their Hindi is poor they are not able to communicate well with the workers so other’s who are less qualified take over. There is no harm in learning a New Language. In Dubai, the kids (any nationals) are forced to learn Arabic. Sometimes I wonder, in such circumstances people like Sundar (with due respect to him) hide in the bush. Sorry to be Mean to you Mr.Sundar, but if you are a Tamilian then Manichidinga, if you are a Keralite then ‘Kshamikuga’. I learned these two languages after mingling with Tamilians & Keralites in Dubai. I am from Mumbai and I am a Proud Indian. Jai Hind, Jai Maharastra, Jai Kerala Oh my god…………..so many…… so to conclude with – Vande Mataram – Jai Hind

  5. This is stupid that india do not respect their own languages like hindi, uk or usa do not respect you then why in english, you stupids. india is only country in the world who shakes her tale before english.

    • Jasbir,
While I agree with your statement, I have a disagreement with you. India is not shaking its tail (your tail spelling is wrong) only some people. In India there are people like you, Me & Hrishikesh. So please be careful what you write, nothing offensive against our mother land.
